My host family !!

Wow! You can't imagine what happened. I got my host family!! :D
I am so happy and can't realize that it is true.

On 7th April, the last day of school before the Easter break, I came home looking forward to have   holiday. My father opened the door and told me that there are news for me and that I should come up to the office. I wondered and the idea that it might be news from my host family came up to my head.
When I got to the office I saw my parents sitting at the desk and looking into the computer. They told me that the lady of my organization Experiment e.V. has called and that a host family has chosen me as their future exchange student.

I was so happy and excited! But I couldn't really believe that it was true due to the fact that my organization had found a family who was interested to take me as their exchange student about one week before. But as they had cats it didn't work and at this time I felt really disappointed about it. But I knew that God always has a plan for me and that I could have trust. And due to the fact that I finally got this lovely family I feel so blessed by how it is right now.
Immediately we read all the information (my parents for the second time as they have overflown all the information before I came home). Writing the first email was really difficult for me as I was really nervous and did not wanted to do something wrong.

I will get into a amiable four-headed family with a cute little dog called Caiya. I'll have a sister who just got 9 years old. Her name is Zoe and like me she is really interested in art. She has already won some prices for her excellent drawings. My host brother's name is Josiah. He is 10 years old and loves reading books. He takes part in book competitions and this time his team won the third place.
Both of the kids are really ambitious piano players like their mother is. She is called Lorena and I am so thankful as she always takes a lot of time to write me back. My host father's name is Steven. He is a real jokester. He likes playing poker with his friends and eating donuts.
They are baptists and the whole family is really involved in their church. Personally speaking that is really cool and I really looking forward to get to know their church and probably get involved there too. :D Having such a sympathetic family is a real relief for me.

After about a week and a few emails I felt like I should ask for a Skype call. I was so nervous and afraid and therefore  I collected some questions to feel better prepared. At first I talked with Lorena and the kids and later Steve came back home from work. The call ended up really good and we talked at least about 1 hour and 43 min.
We already had a second video call in which my family and my host family could get to know each other. I am really happy that it went well. My parents were really nervous before and so my father talked so much that my mother could not say a lot.

They live in North Carolina in the outskirt of a small town named Mocksville. There live about 5000 people. The next bigger city is Winston Salem which has about 240 000 inhabitants.
My host family live in a beautiful house with a lot of land around it. They also have a pool which is really cool. On their yard you can often see turkeys. I'll have a room for myself with an own bathroom which I find really cool.

I am going to go to the Davie County High School which has about 1800 students. It is a totally new school and I will be one of the first students having lessons there. My first school day will be on August 24.

As everything is already so exciting I can't really focus on school during the last days. I mean there are just 90 days left till my flight on August 2! How could it not be exciting!!
